In 1982, my family drove 2 hours to buy our first home computer. We took it home and hooked it up to a small black-and-white TV and I learned how to program in BASIC. I was hooked. Years later, I decided to learn HTML. The idea of making something from nothing was fascinating to me. In September of 2014, I decided to go back to my roots and attend The Iron Yard, an immersive, bootcamp-style coding school. I'm excited to continue the journey that started so many years ago, as a professional programmer.
